We are spoilt for choice for stately homes and national treasures, from the Grandeur of Chatsworth house (don’t miss their amazing farm shop) to the Tudor engineering feat of Little Moreton Hall. Amazing grounds to explore, houses to discover and lashings of tea and cake.

How do we begin to describe Trentham Gardens? Beautiful Italian gardens described by Alan Titchmarsh as ‘One of the UK’s must-see gardens’, shopping village and a monkey forest. This award winning attraction is a great day out anytime of the year.

Stoke on Trent is the world capital of pottery and home to a number of factory shops and visitor centres including Emma Bridgewater and Wedgewood. No trip to Staffordshire is complete without a visit to one of the museums or visitor centres.

Only a 15 minute drive or an hour’s walk from the cottage, Rudyard Lake is a waters lover’s delight from fishing, to boating, canoeing and even lake swimming at certain times of the year. Beautiful wooded walks with plenty of wildlife to look out for.
